Why did my deposit fail?
Occasionally, your deposit may not be successful. If you've double-checked your information, the problem can sometimes be resolved by some general troubleshooting steps. Here are some tips for each specific deposit method we offer.
Credit Card
Depositing with a credit or debit card is NOT 100% GUARANTEED. Some cards have restrictions placed by the issuer which are not imposed by Bodog. Should you experience a deposit failure, simply make the attempt again or try depositing with another of our accepted cards.
- Maximum attempts reached: You are permitted three failed attempts with the same card and then are restricted from making another attempt for a period of 24 hours. NOTE: This restriction cannot be lifted.
- Maximum number of cards on file reached: Only five active cards can be registered to your account. You cannot exceed this limit by registering or depositing with another card and must click the trash icon to remove a card from the list.
Gift Card
As with credit or debit, depositing with a gift card is NOT 100% GUARANTEED. Some cards have restrictions placed by the issuer which are not imposed by Bodog. Should you experience a deposit failure, simply make the attempt again or try depositing with another of our accepted cards.
- International purchases ONLY: Be sure that the gift card you use is approved for online, international purchases only. The card itself will state this clearly. As Bodog is an international company, cards that state ‘Domestic use only’ will not be successful.
- Amount on the card: Including the card’s activation fee, you may be subject to additional fees also applied by the card issuer. Including our minimum deposit amount of $20.00 and processing fee (5.9%), the amount on your gift card must exceed any potential additional fees. To cover those fully, purchase a card of no less than $25.00.
- Card activation: Gift Cards can sometimes take up to an hour to be activated. Allow for this before making your deposit attempt.
Cryptocurrency
Cryptocurrency deposits are FAST, RELIABLE and a GUARANTEED option. When entering your information, either in your wallet, or on our website, be sure to check the details carefully to ensure success.
- Check yourself: Review all your information to ensure that your details are accurate before proceeding. The necessary addresses are case sensitive and entering them incorrectly could result in loss of funds.
- Separate currencies: Always double check the cryptocurrency you are sending before making the transfer as they are NOT interchangeable (Ex. Bitcoin and Bitcoin Cash are not the same currency). Sending one type of cryptocurrency to a different cryptocurrency's address will result in a loss of funds.
Interac e-Transfer
- Your email address with Bodog must be valid in order to complete an Inter e-Transfer.
- Intentionally or accidentally clicking 'Decline' in your emailed instructions.
- Closing the Bodog cashier before transfer is complete.
